This is everyone‘s favorite food ride! A ride to celebrate the end of another awesome summer of cycling. Mountain bike ride starts at 9:30 a.m. with breakfast being served from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. We welcome riders of all ages and skill levels, along with their family and friends. This event is held rain or shine. Distances and pace vary, but are typically 3, 7, and 10+ miles. Terrain is Single track, with some hills and sand.

A 3 day, 2 night tour on the White Pine Trail from Cadillac to Howard City, staying at the Country Inn and Suites in Big Rapids Michigan Monday and Tuesday night. • October 7: Arrive at Bryant Park at 8:30am to load gear onto SAG Vehicle and coordinate carpool. Depart at 9:00 for Cadillac. We’ll park cars at the Cadillac-Wexford Public Library, adjacent to the White Pines Trail. We‘ll ride 42 miles to Big Rapids, stopping for lunch in Reed City or thereabouts. • October 8: Pedal south on White Pine trail to Howard City (22 miles). Return to Big Rapids Country Inn and Suites. • October 9: Ride back to Cadillac. Scott Pyles has agreed to provide SAG Van services. Gravel or touring bike recommended. Lodging: Country Inn and Suites Big Rapids is holding 5 double Queens and 5 King for us. The rate is $110 per night plus tax for either room. To get this rate call 231-527-9000 BEFORE September 13 and speak directly with the front desk rather than speaking to their reservations hotline. If you book elsewhere, request a “pet free” room. If you are traveling solo and want to share a room, email cgketchum@gmail.com I’ll coordinate. Meals: Breakfast is included at the hotel. There are good lunch options in Reed City on day one, more limited lunch options in Howard for day two. Maybe have a trail lunch on day 3. Big Rapids has a number of dinner options. Longer option is to skip the ferry and ride the hills and extra distance. In Charlevoix, enjoy the Apple Festival. Relatively flat on west side of lake, with hills on east return route, Bring $1 for Ironton Ferry and cash for apple treats at the festival. Carpool anyone?

This event is to celebrate the volunteers that donated their time and talents to CCCC this year. It is an Invitation Only event, which each volunteer will receive by email on or about Oct. 7. Then, please use the RSVP button on this page to confirm your intention to attend, by Oct. 18, so that we can estimate our food requirements. Social Hour begins at 4:00 PM and dinner begins at 5:00 PM. Any questions, please contact Carrie, as listed under Event Contact. Feel free to come early to hike the trail around the property.
