About this event
For those of us volunteering for the event and/or otherwise unable to ride Saturday, or if you'd simply like to ride 1 of the routes twice (they are beautiful and the weather forecast is great!), join me on a pre-ride of the LHT.
I'll be leading a group around the 70 mile route, but with sufficient interest there's no reason why you couldn't follow the 38 mile or even 18 mile routes instead. All route maps, cue sheets and RwGPS navigation files can be found on the LHT registration page of our website.
Plan on meeting in the parking lot of the Herman Park pavilion in Suttons Bay - if the spots are filled, overflow should be available in the outskirts of the high school parking lot. Roll out at 9. Restrooms and water are available in downtown SB, Northport and LSP, and the DNR boat launch on L Leelanau has vault toilets.
So ride short and end with a muffin at Chimoski's! Or, ride longer with me and see some of the best riding northern Michigan has to offer.
