This route is a bit more challenging than the Introductory ride earlier this month. Check the RwGPS link for deets. Approximately 38 miles with 1900' of elevation gain, you're going to want to bring 2 water bottles (and probably a snack)...
The first 10 miles is friendly gravel - a nice warm up. A short, sandy hike-a-bike gets us to the 25k loop, where we'll pass through the VST TH onto some unmarked singletrack down to Spider Lake. A couple of paved and trail segments gets us to the NCT, which we'll take up and around Guernsey Lake and return to the Sand Lakes Quiet Area parking lot...
Call this an intermediate technical level MTB trail (albeit a bit long), or advanced for you drop bar enthusiasts (like me). Definitely a NO DROP ride, as there's plenty of opportunities to make a wrong turn!
Starting a little later as the forecast says it's gonna be a bit chilly - plan on shedding a layer mid-ride.
