Meet at Cherry Bend Park in the parking lot east of the pavilion. Enter the park from Lincoln Road off Cherry Bend Road. Ride to/from Suttons Bay mostly on the Leelanau Trail. 32 miles. Meet at Chimoski Bakery for refreshments. Optional Lee Point Loop 40 miles.

20 mile out and back road and trail ride to Yuba to kick off the touring season. If you‘re an experienced tourer, bring your bike, kit, and stories of the road. If you‘re new to touring, a bike and curiosity are all you need. Pace will be @10-12 mph. Join the Touring Interest Group to stay current on rides.
Oof! Another schedule conflict:( Let‘s do the usual ride, but just a day later, exploring the hills of Leelanau County. Forty-ish miles, 13-15 mph pace, ~2500 feet of climbing. This is a no-drop ride.
Ride to Sutton‘s Bay and back. 32 miles. No drop ride. After the ride, we are invited to join the BFF group to celebrate Cinco de Mayo at Loco Boys in Slabtown.

Our first ride of the season potentially resulting with sore buns. About 10 miles on the flat Leelanau trail at about 10mph. Ending at LocoBoys for some Cinco de Mayo snacks, beverages and socialization. Another group of CCCC riders may join us at LocoBoys.

Ride the hills of Leelanau County. ~ 40 miles, ~2500 feet of climbing. Faster on the flats and much slower on the climbs, we‘ll finish with a 14-15 mph average speed. There are showers in the forecast, so bring a rain jacket. This is a no-drop ride.

We‘ll try something new and start at the Sand Dunes. Snack break at Bohemian - BYO. Those wanting to go further can continue NE on M22 and circle Traverse lake before resuming the route back at Bohemian.

We‘ll be planning our 6-wk season for both Road/Hybrid and Mountain/Fat Tire cycling at McLains‘ on 8th St. in the back parking lot from 5:00-6:00 pm. Bring something to sit on and some cash (optional) to join the club and purchase some logo gear. If inclement, we‘ll gather at the shop on Garfield. No planned rides that night. We‘ll go over expectations and details for the upcoming rides and answer questions so that everyone is ready to roll the following week.
The 2024 Ride Leader Meeting will be held on Monday May 13 at The Filling Station Restaurant from 6pm-8pm and is intended for ride leaders or those that plan to become ride leaders. This meeting will go over some basic topics and some new information pertinent to being a ride leader for the club

Ride the Boardman loop and a portion of the TART trail. We will start and end at Right Brain Brewery. The route is essentially flat and about 10-15 miles. It is a no drop ride. Non-riders can also join us at Right Brain for story telling and beverages.
Start at East Bay Park with many ride options from 10-42 miles. Fairly flat course with several rolling hills on Center Road, Blue Water Rd.,etc. A number of bathroom facilities on the peninsula and many coffee options near the start and in Mapleton.
Palmer Woods Forest Preserve
8-10 Miles
Palmer Woods is an intermediate-flowing single-track trail with advanced optional sections.
This is a no-drop ride.
Join NMBBA for the annual Ride of Silence. Arrive by 6:45 so you are ready when the ride starts at 7 PM from the parking lot shared by Brick Wheels and McClains on 8th Street. They plan to ride 5 to 7 miles at a slow pace.

Ride from Interlochen Corners to Patty Cakes Restaurant in Buckley for a coffee stop and return. Total distance: 35 miles.
Ride is mainly on quiet roads with a decent shoulder, but there is 1 mile on Cty 633, and 1 mile on Cty 602 that are busier with no shoulder.
Riders should be able to ride paceline 17 mph. Not particularly hilly, but there is a good climb on Youker Road. We‘ll regroup at the top.

Please note the EARLIER START TIME. This week we‘ll go west on Grandview, Kasson, Kasson Center, Fritz and Bow to Big Glen Lake. We‘ll then head north and climb Trumbull before heading home through Maple City and over Kasben and Lincoln. ~45 miles, 2500-3000 feet of climbing. There may be a short stop in Maple City. Options to bypass the Trumbull and Lincoln climbs. Faster on the flats, much slower on the climbs, we‘ll finish with an average speed of 14-15 mph...not 17+ mph. We regroup at the tops of the climbs and at intersections. This is a no-drop ride.

Join us for very short instructional session each week on various topics relating to safe road cycling followed by an enjoyable ride usually north out and back on Old Mission Peninsula. Small groups will be formed each week based on pace and distance depending on who shows up to ride. THIS WEEK ONLY we will meet at 5:30pm at Hull Park near the Main Library and join the Member Mixer at The Filling Station; bring some extra cash!!

Meet up at The Filling Station to socialize with your fellow club members. Beer and Food available for purchase. Some appetizers provided. There will be a short educational program. Weather to determine if there will be a ride before the event.

Put A Load On (PALO) rides are conditioning rides in preparation for bicycle touring. Put some pounds in your panniers, add some junk to your trunkbag and join other weighty cyclists in a slow moving procession while plotting grand getaways to bike world.
This weeks ride will be an out and back to Shady Lane on the Leelanau Trail; 20 miles total. Expected pace: 10 mph.
